A similar coiled dragon pendant was unearthed during the excavation of the tomb of Lady Fu Hao, Henan Province. The jade is an off-white, with stark reddish/brown iron oxide inclusions throughout. The dragon’s horns are stocky and mushroom shaped, and its eyes are wide and human like. It is decorated on its back and sides with raised relief cloud shaped patterns. Its body is coiled and limbless, with carved lines across its belly like that of a serpent.
