Description
- Charcoal and graphite on Rives BFK, framed in painted wood with UV-resistant museum plexi.
- Our studio is proud to feature an exquisite series of charcoal drawings by Erin Fostel. Ethereal, dream-like, intimate, and extraordinarily rendered, the series is titled "Songs of the Sky | Devotions of Home" and is currently on view at our New York City gallery.
- Erin Fostel (American, b.1981) is a visual artist who invites us to consider our relationships to the spaces we occupy and the transient beauty of everyday life. She focuses on imagery of the personal and the shared, from intimate home interiors to landscapes found during meandering walks. She holds a BFA in Drawing and Art History from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has exhibited throughout the United States and Europe, including the C. Grimaldis Gallery (Baltimore, MD), Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (Virginia Beach, VA), Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (Salt Lake City, UT), Neon Gallery (Wroclaw, Poland), Moving Poets Novilla
(Berlin, Germany), and the Academy Art Museum (Easton, MD). Her drawings are in the collections of the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Maryland Center for History and Culture, Johns Hopkins University, CFG Bank, and the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation. Her studio is based in her hometown of Baltimore, MD. -
