"Spindle," Framed Red Toned Pastel On Paper By Jim Waid, Companion Available
-
Description
In "Spindle, 1991" artist Jim Waid, though his mastery of pastel on paper, reflects a microcosmic view of nature that would otherwise be purely abstracted without the sporadic inclusion of suggestive fauna. Organic shapes are richly layered with sumptuous shades of red, berry, lavender, pink, gold and blue to form a deconstructed view of the physical world that is simultaneously dynamic and harmonious. "Spindle is framed in a whitewashed wood frame with a linen matte. Artist signed lower right and there is a Riva Yates Gallery label on verso. A companion piece, "Rush Light" is aviailable with the same measurements shown in the last photograph.
