Description
Stunning and rare king-size four-poster bed in Lucite and nickel designed and manufactured by Charles Hollis Jones in the 1970s.
This bed was originally commissioned by Sylvester Stallone and he requested for the ceiling of the bed to have mirror however this bed does not come with the mirror ceiling.
The bed is in excellent condition and one of the oldest beds we have had, the bed comes with the original Lucite headboard which is 1 1/8" thick and with a beautiful bevel trim.
The columns are 3" thick which are 1" thicker from the later samples and the feed are 3" square pieces of Lucite as opposed to 1" thick to the newer models. In addition to that, all of the Lucite posts have the 12" bevel trims which are one of the finishes that distinguishes Charles Hollis Jones work from other designers. The piece is in excellent original condition and is ready to ship, the bed can be offered with metal slats as shown on the main image or with two illuminated platforms like the other beds we offer.
The piece comes signed and dated for authenticity.
