Description
An elegant French full-size bed crafted in beautifully figured sycamore and mahogany, dating to circa 1950 and exemplifying the refined sophistication of mid-century French design. The striking architectural form features a gently arched headboard and matching footboard, lending graceful movement and balanced proportion to the silhouette. Integrated floating nightstands extend seamlessly from either side of the headboard, each fitted with a small drawer, combining sculptural design with practical bedside functionality.
The footboard is finely decorated with a large central carved floral medallion framed within delicate line inlay, adding a decorative focal point while highlighting the cabinetmaker’s attention to detail. Warm sycamore veneers, accented by mahogany banding and subtle geometric figuring, create visual depth and understated luxury. Raised on tapered feet, the bed reflects the streamlined elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of French furniture of the period. A sophisticated and highly functional statement piece, equally suited to classic, Art Deco, or modern interiors.
