Description
Steinway & Sons, Baby Grand Model L Piano, Refurbished Satin Ebony, 1911, 88 Keys, Serial Number 146562
This exceptional 1911 Steinway piano, Model 146561, has undergone a complete interior and case refinishing, ensuring it is a truly unique and finely crafted piece. The piano features a newly installed soundboard and pin block, along with all-new dampers and felts, delivering a remarkably responsive action. Each metal component has been meticulously treated with a beautiful chrome finish. Weighing 610 pounds, this piano is a stunning musical instrument that will exceed expectations.
In 2005, Steinway discontinued the production of the Model L at its New York factory, replacing it with the Model O, which had originally been surpassed decades earlier. The Model O has since been reintroduced and is currently produced at both the New York and Hamburg facilities.
