Description
Using its distinct cross-cultural and contemporary language, acclaimed design duo Studio MVW has created with 'Jintang' a true East-West encounter.
‘Jintang' Installation exquisitely combines an intense brown patina on the outside (derived from oxidized bronze, which underlines the architectural character of the external structure) and champagne-colored brushed bronze on the inside, akin to a jewel box. The heart of the installation is made up of a console (or desk, a vanity, a bar) and a wall lighting fixture. The console encompasses a Burmese marble top and a foot sculpted in natural pink jade, an exceptional gemstone with a sumptuous powder transparency. The wall lighting fixture includes three retro-lit heads in natural pink jade and three mirrors while its structure is made of anodized stainless steel colored in brass with a subtile pink gold shade.
With an extreme refinement and craftsmanship mastery, 'Jintang' beautifully combines the warmth of bronze with the precious properties of rare natural stones. This dramatic work is exclusively produced and sold by Galerie BSL in a limited edition of 8 pieces + 4 artist proofs.
Dimensions are as follows:
