Description
This large domed 18th Century Baroque Chest is made with solid oak and mounted with decorative iron strapwork and handles. It is a handsome example of immigrant trunks that were made in Germany from the 1600’s to the 1800’s. The warm natural color and beautiful wrought iron straps make this piece particularly appealing. All hardware is original with the exception of the casters, installed for ease and mobility. They can be easily removed. Has some minimal missing parts of iron work, but in good antique condition overall, consistent with age and use.
