Description | Part of the limited edition Sobreiro Collection, this “Wave Cabinet” is perhaps the most recognisable of the cork cabinets in the exclusive collection by the Campana Brothers. The wave-shaped front is masterfully crafted from the unique cork material. The texture, colour and pattern of the cork make this cabinet visually striking. Although heavy looking, with the addition of the airy waves, the cabinet manages to look delicate and striking at the same time. The cabinet has a structure made of MDF (medium-density fibreboard), and is further made of expanded natural cork agglomerate. This material is made by heating cork, without the need to use any additive. The Sobreiro collection was developed in partnership with Consulate General of Portugal in Sao Paulo, cork supplier Amorim, the furniture company Época and the brand European Capital of Furniture (Capital Europeia do Móvel). The pieces of the Sobreiro Collection were exhibited at the Consulate General of Portugal in Sao Paulo in 2018. Made upon order: Estimated production time, ca 6-8 weeks Condition: New. Via their pieces, the Campana Brothers institute conversation around ethical production, sustainability and social awareness into some of the world’s most alluring interiors.
