Description
A fine quality William IV flame mahogany inverted breakfront sideboard of good colour.
English Circa 1835.
The raised carved back having a central anthemion cartouche, flanked by sweeping carved acanthus leaves over a finely figured solid mahogany top, of invert breakfront form with a gadrooned edge.
There are two shorter panelled frieze drawers over each pedestal, with a longer rounded book-match veneered central drawer above a deeper drawer having carved scroll relief to each end.
The top is supported by two rectangular flame veneered pedestals with tapering columns to each side, opening to reveal shelved storage on the left side with three adjustable pull out trays to the right side. Each pedestal is raised on a moulded plinth base and joined by a central mahogany back panel.
In excellent restored condition this antique sideboard offers large a storage capacity with elegant design.
A fine quality sideboard of great colour and patina with choice cuts of timber. -
