French 19th Century Empire Bibliotheque

$ 4,200
  • Description
    This two-door French Empire bibliotheque is framed on either side by columns that go all the way to the feet. The top and bottom of the columns are accented with brass. The top is decorated with minimal ormolu, adding just a touch of Empire-style detail. One key is included to open the locking and latching doors, fitted with new glass. Housing three shelves, the top two are removable and the third serves as the top for a pair of drawers. Invisible when the doors are closed, both drawers are fitted with beautiful brass pulls and provide for more organization within the piece. Made of strong mahogany in the 19th century, the wood has a fantastic patina. Make sure to view detailed images to get a better look.
