Description
With domed bonnet with cherub holding an orb flanked by two other cherubs , overall blind fret decoration over the glazed door opening to the works , pendulum door and plinth base. Provenance ; By repute JP Morgan . Acquired directly from the granddaughter whose grandmother was Frances Pennoyer daughter of JP Morgan . The clock was originally in his Oyster Bay home on Long Island , NY then to the Pennoyer residence in Locust Valley , NY. In good condition and working order. Wear consistent with age and use.
