Description
Considered a founder of American modernist design, George Nelson (1908-1986) created furniture for flexibility and functionality. He designed the modular furniture system starting in the 1940s and thru 1950s in collaboration with leading manufacturer Herman Miller. The cabinet has four drawers - sitting atop an ebonized slat bench. Non-original brass knobs. Both pieces are vintage and recently restored and produced in 1950s/60s. Original foil label no longer visible.
