    Italian walnut commode, likely Lomardy, circa 1750; with raised walnut moulded panels with burl inset on front and sides, top has a satinwood band inlay; one hidden drawer over three larger drawers; the whimsical gilt-bronze hardware is likely a 19th century replacement, depicting mermaids and sylphs. It is impressive in it’s scale and proportions, Italian, circa 1750.
