Description A cabinet with two sliding doors from the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille (1947-1952). The building was designed by Le Corbusier, who also furnished the building in cooperation with Charlotte Perriand.

The cabinet is made of oak and plywood and had been painted over and we restored it back to its original condition. The wood blocks underneath, however, are not original and are added for functional purposes.

The Unité d’Habitation in Marseille was the first of a new series of housing projects by Le Corbusier, that focused on communal living for all the inhabitants to shop, play, live, and come together in a ‘vertical garden city’.
