This refined and dramatic pair of Mid Century Modern brutalist nightstands were realized in the United States, circa 1960. They feature sculptural bases that extend beyond the body of the rectilinear nightstands, all realized in a rich ebonized walnut. Two highly unusual and stunningly sculptural bowed pulls composed a wealth of curvilinear abstracted forms join in the center of the piece. There is a large open compartment in the bottom of the nightstand, and a drawer at the top, offering a wealth of storage possibilities. With its refined palate, exceptional hardware and clean modernist lines, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. This gorgeous pair would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. Mint restored condition.
