Description
A pristine 1958 Wall-hanging cabinet from frequent collaborators, Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell. The walnut cabinet features three sliding doors concealing one fixed shelf, one adjustable shelf, and open storage. The central panel is embellished with a classic Evans/Powell motif – the welded and gilt steel fish scale screen. The partnership between Evans and Powell is one of the most noteworthy of the American post-war Craft Movement. While each had very distinct strengths and viewpoints, the works they created together are some of the most sought-after pieces of mid-century design.
