Description
Tommi Parzinger Studded Two-Drawer Chest with Inset black Glass Top. Finish is original and untouched. This example was manufactured in the mid fifties to early 60's, and was part of a complete Parzinger Originals, Interior on East 72nd Street on Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Parzinger Original furniture is the best of what Tommi Parzinger produced. The elegant well thought out details of his pieces come together to make each piece a whole work of art. Note the placement of the handles 3 studs in from each side taking up the space of 5 studs. That type of attention to detail is absent in the many copies that abound in the marketplace. Many early pieces came with inset glass tops, a thoughtful design element which is practical but adds complexity to the design of the top surface.
This two drawer cabinet with brass studs has it's original black glass, inset top and a dark brown lacquered case.
Also available is a unique King Sized Headboard, from the same apartment. -
