Fine George I walnut Secretaire Bookcase with overhanging cavetto cornice above a pair of glazed doors, enclosing three shelves, above one long drawer with a fall front writing surface and fitted interior with four small drawers and pigeon holes. The sides are cross banded in walnut. The lower section fitted with three long graduated drawers with tear shape drop hardware above a molded base with shaped bracket feet. Retains original key. Retailers label inside small drawer reads: Stair & Andrew Ltd., 25 Soho Square, London, W.1.
