Angelo Lelli “Apollo” Table Lamp, Model 14111, Arredoluce, Italy, 1960s
-
Description
This sculptural table lamp is the model 14111 “Apollo”, designed by Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce in the early 1960s. It is a refined example of Italian modernist lighting, combining architectural rigor with a strong sense of movement.
The lamp is composed of curved, vertical aluminum blades arranged around a central light source, creating a dynamic, almost rocket-like silhouette—hence the name Apollo. The polished aluminum exterior contrasts with the white lacquered interior, softly diffusing the light while producing subtle reflections and depth. When illuminated, the lamp emits a warm, indirect glow that enhances its sculptural presence rather than overpowering the space.
Elegant yet futuristic, the Apollo lamp reflects Lelli’s mastery of form, material, and light, and stands as an iconic piece of mid-century Italian design, equally compelling as a functional lamp and as a standalone sculptural object. - More Information
