Carlo Scarpa,Venini, custom made 'Poliedri' glass chandelier, Italy, 1977
-
Description
Starting from the end of the 50s, Venini began the production of easily reproducible glass elements in various sizes and colors and, above all, easy to assemble to create ceiling lamps or wall lamps.
The 'Poliedro' was patented in 1958 (Carlo Scarpa) and used, mounted on metal bearing structures from then to today.
The chandelier we offer was made to specific size requests in 1977, for the home of an Italian art collector. The Poliedri, all of the same size, are made of hammered clear and taupe glass.
The upright structure is the original one, branded Venini, in white painted metal. -
