Early 20th Century Floor Lamp in Carved Wood with Leather Shade

A stunning early 20th century floor lamp in hand carved ebonized wood with a fantastic high quality shade in leather.

Probably Asian of origin, this floor lamp shows intricately carved patterns and shapes - of an abstract, floral and mythical nature. At the base you’ll find a dragon curled up around the stem. The ebonized wood shows great grain and color with the brown shining through at places.

Combines wonderfully with the period shade in stitched leather. A high quality shade like this you’ll not see very often - the laces / stitching are restored to former glory by a skilled craftsman. The shade shows a mesmerizingly beautiful glow when lit - a very pleasant and warm effect.

All in all a stunning and rare piece which will no doubt be a great addition to any stylish interior.

Comes in a good and original condition. Originally (EU) wired.
