Description
Pair of tall blue midcentury table lamps model 3461 by Einar Johansen for Soholm
These table lamps were originally vases that have been converted into spectacular and impressive table lamps. Einar Johansen designed these vases for Danish company Søholm Stentoj (Stentoj means stoneware in Danish) where they were also produced, probably in the 1960 on the beautiful island of Bornholm located in the Baltic sea. The base's fronts and backs are decorated with handmade circular patterns and and have been glazed with deep blue shiny glazes. The tones of blue differ slightly from lamp to lamp. The design has the Model number 3461 and is stamped and signed by designer under the base. Additionally, one of the lamps still has the original sticker. The lamps have been rewired and are in excellent condition. The lamps have plugs for European sockets, in case of use elsewhere, these could either be used with adapters or a local electrician can quickly and easily rewire the lamps for local use.
The lamp base measures 43 cm in height, 17 cm in depth and and 20 cm in width without the shades. -
