Pair of Tall Mid-Century ceramic lamps model 1023 by Einar Johansen for Soholm
This pair of ceramic table lamps was designed by Einar Johansen and produced by Soholm Stentoj in Denmark in the 1960s. Very impressive and beautiful lamps. The bases have a beautiful graphic pattern and the glazing shows a beautiful tones of orange and blue. The lamps have been rewired with switches and have new sockets and shades. New European wiring and plugs. Need to be checked by a local electrician before put to use. The lamps are signed with the signature of ceramic artist Einar Johansen and show the models number aswell the name of the manufacturer. The lamp without the shade measures 50 cm in height and 15 cm diametre.
Søholm was founded in 1835, in Rønne, Bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on Bornholm, until its closure in 1996.
Danish ceramic artist, Einar Johansen was employed at Søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, where his “blue series” is highly sought after today among collectors. -
