French 19th Century Bouillotte Chandelier
-
Description
A French 19th Century brass and tole chandelier in classic bouillotte style to softly illuminate a foyer or dining area. Five candle arms arranged in a concave pentagram are partially concealed by the metal drum shade that is painted charcoal on the exterior and cream on the interior to amplify the effect of the chandelier-base bulbs. Neoclassical touches are evident as fluting on the central column and artichoke finials descending from each candle. The finish of the metal has taken an oxidized patina developed over the past century-plus for beautiful depth. Professionally cleaned and wired for US electrical using UL certified parts, ready to hang in your interior. Please view the detailed images.
