Description
Pair of Gino Sarfatti Perforated Cone Sconces for Arteluce, circa 1950. Executed in white painted perforated aluminum and brass. Ball jointed arm connection to shade allows for flexible shade adjustments and multiple configurations. The simplicity of Sarfatti's design and the sculptural shaping of the materials make for an incredibly refined example of this lighting master's influential approach, circa 1946-1950, Italy. Arteluce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.
