Description
H. Steinpatz Pair of Hand Painted Amsterdamse School Table Lamps 1920s
H. Steinpatz pair of hand painted Amsterdamse School Arts / Crafts table lamps. The Netherlands, 1920s.
These special wooden 'Amsterdam School' table lamps are hand-painted in a distinctive style. The lamps have a special shape, color and design and come from the famous studio of H. Steinpatz in Hilversum, The Netherlands. They were made in the 1920s and are typical of Steinpatz's work. They are made in the famous Arts & Crafts fashion related 'Amsterdam School' style. In the early 20th century a group of architects and designers made works inspired by expressionism and influences of different other styles like Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau and traditional Indonesian styles. The two lamps differ slightly in design but make a great pair. Note these require rewiring.
Very elegant and cozy conversation pieces. Great vintage condition.
Marked at the underside with a sticker which says H. Steinpatz.
One pair available - price is for the pair.
