Description
Rare pendant light created by Hans Agne Jakobsson in the 1960s, AB Markaryd edition. An emblematic model from the Swedish designer. Made up of movable pine slats, the three lampshades revolve around an axis. Each sphere is fixed on a metal frame, supporting a screw socket. , an exceptional light fixture in very good condition, where light becomes the focus of rare beauty in perfect balance with its structure.
Designer: Hans Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) is a Swedish interior architect and designer born in Gotlander County. He began his career as an industrial designer at General Motors and established his own company in 1951 in Markaryd. Inspired by great designers like Alvar Aalto or Poul Henningsen, the Danish master in the field of lighting, he experiments with different materials such as brass, iron, glass, fabric or wood, and delivers creations with shapes unpublished. His organically designed lighting fixtures made him famous thanks to his unrivaled know-how and his limitless inventiveness, playing on the relationships between the medium of light and its diffusion. -
