Description
This sophisticated Mid-Century Modern feather chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- circa 1970 by the esteemed atelier of Mazzega. It features two tiers of curved "feather" form petals in handblown amber Murano glass that attach to a brass frame and connect to the ceiling via a beveled brass canopy. With its beautiful glass quality and clean modernist lines, this chandelier is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards. The height can be adjusted to suit. The fixture accommodates 7 Candelabra based bulbs providing up to 420 Watts of light. It is in excellent vintage condition.
