This highly elegant Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Fluted & Opalescent Murano Glass Table Lamps originates from Italy, Circa 1950. They feature stunning sculptural bases formed in polished brass, rectangular with faceted sides and curled elements framing a rod and disc of brass which supports the body of the lamps. The glass is breathtaking, with a gradient of opalescent lavender and deeply fluted grooves. Just beneath the shades the murano glass ends in rounded organic forms from which the brass fittings emerge. Fitted with custom gallery shades. Newly rewired to American Standards, these lamps accommodate 2 Edison base bulbs each achieving up to 200 watts of light per lamp. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
