This bold and refined Mid-Century Modern chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production, circa 1970. It features a wealth of cylindrical helix form shades in hand blown translucent Murano glass with expressionistic white pigment detailing embedded throughout. These tightly coiled cylindrical helixes hang from a polished nickel frame, concealing four Edison bulbs within, offering up to 400 watts of light. With its clean modernist lines and monochromatic palate, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically pleasing, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
