This elegant large scale mixed polyhedral chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. The chandelier offers an oval silhouette, with subtly sloped sides, composed of an abundance of handblown Murano polyhedral shades in hues of graphite, translucent and topaz. The fixture attaches to the ceiling via a cylindrical rod and a circular canopy- both in lustrous polished chrome. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful glass quality, this chandelier would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 12 edition based bulbs offering up to 1200 watts of light.
