Pair of Art Deco Frosted Glass & Chrome Rectangular Sconces w/ Rose Motifs

Description
This elegant and sophisticated pair of Art Deco vanity lights were realized in France circa 1930. They feature volumetric rectangular bodies with polished chrome surrounds and frosted glass interiors. The frosted glass is decorated with sculptural cubist stylized roses in dramatic relief. The delicacy and sweetness of the rose motif is counterbalanced by the hard geometric lines of the sconce bodies, creating an electric and dynamic tension. Their clean modernist lines, monochromatic color palate and beautiful craftsmanship make these vanity lights as versatile as they are aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with every style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition.
