Description
A truly beautiful plafonier or flush mount from one of the most prestigious Muranese glass companies, Venini. Produced in the 1940s, this impressive chandelier by Paolo Venini has sixteen pieces of ‘rugiadoso’ glass which suspend from an internal circular steel frame. The ‘rugiadoso’ technique uses tiny textured particles of glass which are then attached to one side of the glass, this diffuses the light with spectacular effect. An important and elegant piece of Murano glass design from a different age.
