Stilnovo is founded in Milan by Bruno Gatta in 1946.
In December 1946 Stilnovo made its first appearance in Domus, where two table lamps and a brass tray were published. In 1949 Bruno Gatta's brother Paolo joined the company.
Stilnovo reaches the height of success at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. During this period he collaborated with high-profile architects and designers on several projects, among these designers there are also Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Melchiorre Bega, Gae Aulenti, Joe Colombo and Ettore Sottsass.
Floor lamp designed in 1950s by Stilnovo with two diffusers, a bigger one in red and a smaller one in yellow. The latter has a little handle that allows a little movement in order to direct the light as prefered. The floor lamp has a marble base, lacquered metal support and diffuser.
Very good condition, fully working.
