Swedish Grace Table Lamp in Carved Wood, Svenskt Tenn Shade, Sweden, 1930s

Description
This elegant table lamp was hand made in Sweden in the early 1930s. The design is marked by the base in black lacquered birch wood. The sphere shape with intricate, hand carved details, giving the wood a beautiful texture. The circular base with hand carved details as well. The new, pleated shade is by the Swedish company Svenskt Tenn. The moiré striped fabric was designed by Helene Blanche. The fabric has a classic elegance, yet a modern feel and the unique composition of cotton and linen makes the moiré seem crisp and elegant.
