Finely executed in the Rococo taste with an elaborately pierced crest and scrolling foliate ornament, the richly carved frame is embellished with shells, acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and flowing C-scrolls, all retaining a warm, time-softened gilt surface.

The rectangular mirror plate is enclosed within the sculptural frame, whose delicately pierced crest and symmetrical carved details exemplify the elegance and craftsmanship of the Louis XV period. The aged gilding and graceful proportions lend the piece exceptional decorative appeal.
