Description
Venetian Mirror with Light Blue Murano Glass Floral Decoration
Murano, Venice, Italy, Mid-20th Century
An elegant handcrafted Venetian mirror, executed according to the finest Murano glassmaking tradition. The richly decorated frame is adorned with hand-blown light blue Murano glass flowers and ribbed leaves, complemented by crystal bead garlands that create remarkable brilliance and depth.
The mirror is composed of finely engraved mirrored panels decorated with classical Venetian scrollwork and an engraved urn overflowing with flowers at the crest. Twisted Murano glass borders frame the central mirror, while the shaped pediment and decorative lower apron create a harmonious and architecturally balanced composition.
Distinguished by its exceptional craftsmanship, refined proportions, and delicate aquamarine blue palette, this mirror is both a functional object and an important decorative work of art. It is ideally suited to sophisticated classical or contemporary interiors, where it serves as an elegant focal point.
