Description
An elegant French Midcentury Modern Mirror in Bamboo and Rattan. The wall mirror has a rare Crescent form and features rattan sunbursts radiating radiating from the central mirror plate. The piece expresses the Modern Neoclassical aesthetic with its radiating Sunburst form and energy. The sunburst became an icon of design and symbolized the reign of Louis XIV, who was known as the Sun King. In the French 1940 period, the French architect - interior designer revived interest in the sunburst and neoclassical design.

The central mirror plate is approximately 15.75 x 16" and the overall diameter of the mirror is 25”
