Description
A sculptural wall mirror that embodies the expressive metalwork of 1960s Italian design, this piece is framed in hand-hammered copper finished with a nickel plating, creating a rich interplay between warm undertones and cool, silvery highlights. The surface is deeply textured, almost lunar in appearance, with a tactile, organic relief that reflects light unevenly and gives the frame a dynamic, living quality.
The softly rounded rectangular form enhances its presence, with gently undulating edges that feel both intentional and spontaneous—hallmarks of Bragalini’s artisanal approach. At the center, a recessed mirror plate provides contrast to the bold frame, often showing natural age and light foxing that add depth and authenticity.
Rooted in the Brutalist sensibility yet refined through Italian craftsmanship, Bragalini’s mirrors are known for their use of hammered copper and metalworking techniques, often drawing from ancient influences while remaining distinctly modern .
A strong decorative statement, this mirror functions equally as wall art—its materiality, patina, and sculptural presence making it a compelling focal point in both modern and vintage interiors. This mirror can be hung horizontally or vertically. -
