Description
The name Donghia has long been synonymous with monumental design, both in presence and in aesthetic. Designer John Hutton, a celebrated creative force behind the brand, developed a line of pieces that perfectly capture his distinctive style: a seamless convergence of classical form and modern sensibility.
This striking, larger-than-life mirror is a rare example from Hutton’s collaboration with Donghia, meticulously refinished by our team to preserve its timeless character. Drawing inspiration from classical architecture, the mirror’s unbroken arched pediment and finely crafted millwork details speak to Hutton’s reverence for proportion and craftsmanship. Its limed wood frame, finished in a soft natural tone, lends the piece an understated modernity that complements its traditional structure.
Equally at home in a grand foyer, a refined dressing room, or a curated lounge, this mirror embodies the essence of classical modern design; architectural, sculptural, and undeniably elegant. -

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
