Description
An exquisite and elegant antique 19th Century wall mirror from Vienna, Austria, dating to circa 1825–1835 and representing the transitional period between the Empire and Biedermeier styles. The mirror is notably large in scale, standing 46.5 inches high, and features a beautifully grained pearwood veneer frame with a warm orange-brown tone, crafted in an elegant shield shape. The original mirror plate is enhanced by finely beveled outer edges that add depth and refinement.
The mirror has been carefully and professionally restored, with great attention paid to preserving its authentic antique character and patina. The frame displays a beautifully polished, glossy finish and remains in very good condition, showing only minor and attractive signs of age acquired over nearly two centuries. The mirror glass is also in good condition, with only a few small and subtle age-related spots visible upon close inspection.
A timeless and sophisticated decorative piece that embodies the elegance of Viennese craftsmanship during the early Biedermeier period.
