 A shimmering French gold gilt mantel mirror, hand-crafted in France in the 19th century. This classic mantle mirror is in excellent condition with its original mercury glass and sturdy wood backing. Elegant and refined with lustrous gold gilt and a richly patinated finish which has worn over time to show a bit of French red peeking through. The original mirror plate is in great condition with a bit of foxing and a glamorous sparkle of diamond dust at the bottom edge. Housed in an attractive molded and trimmed hand-carved frame, this mirror could be placed in a number of rooms in your home to bring in traditional French elegance and a bit of luxe.
