FRENCH 19TH CENTURY LARGE PAINTED MIRROR

Description
An impressive, large painted mirror from 19th century France. The mirror’s frame is made of carved moulded wood that has been painted an excellent creamy gray color. The painted finish has aged beautifully over the decades, with losses here and there that contribute to its brilliant patina. The mirror’s glass is the original mercury glass, and has some foxing present. This larger rectilinear mirror can be hung on the wall or even used as a floor mirror.
