A beautiful gold gilt and carved mantle mirror with original mirror plate hand-crafted in France in the 19th century. This mirror is large, beautiful and dripping with exceptional details. The finely carved frame is stunning with parcel gilt and painted decorative flowered vines embellishing the corners and sides. Showcasing a rich cream paint, the sparkle of gold gilt, and a wonderful patina throughout, this mirror is truly gorgeous. The original mercury glass has some signs of foxing.
