Description
This sophisticated Mid-Century Modern mirror was realized in the United States circa 1950. It features a demi lune stylized laurel base consisting of recurring five point spiked foliate forms (perhaps abstracted bay leaves) that meet in the center below a circular panel of plain mirror. The curvilinear bronze foliate base offers a wonderfully rich and even patina that testifies to its age, and offers a striking contrast to the highly reflective mirror above. With its clean modernist lines, and beautiful neoclassical aesthetic, this mirror would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition, with wear commensurate with age.
