Description
Mid-Century Modernist Black Enameled Bronze Frame & Brushed Brass Mirror
$4,475.00
This Mid-Century Modernist Mirror in Black Enameled Bronze with Brushed Brass fittings originates from the United States, Circa 1950. Featuring an vertical oval form with cut angular top and bottom, this piece when hung vertically resembles the iris of a cat or serpent, sleek and natural in its formal references but beautifully minimal and abstract in its construction. The border is composed of a band of bronze finished in black enamel that floats around the mirror glass, which attaches seamlessly with two horizontal bronze strips that join to the back of the frame. This visually brings the glass forward, and two vertical attachment points in brushed brass that overlap with the mirror and allow it to recede from the frame, balancing its placement within the frame and bringing stimulating detailing with a minimal footprint. This piece will style beautifully in a wide array of interiors and settings, a versatile and unique mirror sure to be appreciated by those with a love of creative Mid-Century Modernist design. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
