Description
This beautifully crafted Mid-Century Modern mirror, originating from Italy circa 1950, is a striking example of sculptural refinement in functional design. The mirror features an elegant hourglass form, with a curvilinear silhouette that evokes soft, flowing geometry. Wrapped in a brass frame, this piece epitomizes the restrained luxury and bold design ethos of Mid-Century Modern artistry.
The hourglass form imbues the mirror with a sense of organic elegance, softening its linear structure with graceful curves. This unique curvilinear shape adds visual interest, making the mirror not only practical, but also a decorative focal point in any space. The overall design reflects the Italian Mid-Century approach of blending artistic elements with utility.
Surrounding the mirror is a brass-wrapped frame, with its warm golden tone creating a timeless contrast to the reflective glass. The brass develops a naturally aged patina that further enhances its character, while highlighting the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The interplay of the curvilinear hourglass shape and the luxurious brass creates a harmonious and sophisticated aesthetic. Its distinctive shape makes it suitable as a standalone statement piece. Styling beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
