Description
Exceedingly Rare Pair of English Lacquerwork Mirrors - Looking Glasses of the Late Queen Anne Period in Absolutely Wonderful Natural Untouched State of Preservation. There is Little Doubt these Mirrors are a Complete One Off and Probably Were a Private Commission as the Unusual Slim and Tall Dimensions Demonstrate.
Of Serious Interest to the Ardent Collector is the Original Bevelled Mirror Plates Having the most Atmospheric Weathered Greying Glass, a Feature Simillar to the Condition of the Slender Oriental Fashion Black and Gold Wooden Lacquered Frame.
Note - the Humanistic Approach to the Animal Like Metal Sconce Support Bracket with its Classical Roaring Face . The Excellent Glass Candle Holders Whilst being Old are Probably not the Original - but in Keeping with the Overall Design.
