Description
Elegant and highly decorative, this Italian wall mirror designed by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte features a finely shaped glass frame with softly scalloped contours and refined acid-etched ornamentation. The perimeter is enriched by stylized botanical motifs carved into smoked glass, creating depth and subtle tonal contrast against the reflective surface.
The central mirror plate is secured with visible metal studs, a characteristic detail of early Fontana Arte production that highlights the dialogue between craftsmanship and modern industrial technique. The sculptural outline and delicate engraving reflect Chiesa’s mastery in elevating glass into a luminous architectural element.
A refined example of early Italian modernism, the piece balances decorative tradition with clean geometry, making it suitable as both a functional mirror and a statement wall object. - More Information
